With the brand-new June update to Photoshop 2020, a completely new code of Select Subject just for portraits is introduced! In this tutorial, we are going to see how this automatic selection tool compares with the unbeatable Pen Tool. With the help of three simple compositing examples, we will first compare the "Select Subject" with the previous versions of Photoshop. Then, we will compare it with the Pen Tool, amongst other alternatives.
In these examples, we will also learn masking techniques for better quality edges. In the end, I'm also going to share with you a simple and straightforward masking workflow combining the power of "Select Subject" and "Select and Mask." I hope this video helps you. Thank you so much for watching :)
